What to do BEFORE A UDL Implementation

Universal Designs for Learning (UDL) is most impactful when implemented throughout an entire system. When UDL is implemented as a framework with the goal of all learners being able to access content with a focus on learning, students become more engaged. Teachers are able to see immediate gains and growth, so it does not feel like “one more thing.” In this workshop, we will explore conversations that will set the stage for UDL in your district, and we will examine some quick wins you can achieve before UDL becomes an "official" focus in your school or district. This framework will be key in any recovery or extension make-up efforts that provide teachers with solid strategies that will serve students well beyond the pandemic.
