Inclusion is more than a place and meeting the needs of a diverse group of learners requires collaboration and expertise from all staff in order to improve outcomes for all of our students. Co-teaching is one service delivery option in supporting full inclusion and is more than two teachers in one room or one teach-one support. Both full inclusion and co-teaching require thoughtful, intentional planning for delivery of high quality instruction designed for each student to maximize learning with core instruction whether it is face to face or virtual.. Co-planning is an essential component for effective co-teaching and is a significant component in implementing effective co-teaching practices. To maximize learning opportunities and outcomes for all students, collaboration of resources and instructional strategies is essential. While CESA 2's training is useful for any combination of teachers who are co-teaching, CESA 2 specializes in supporting the co-teaching collaboration between a general education teacher and a special education teacher, or a general education teacher and an English Learner Teacher
