English Learners: Culturally Responsive Book Study (Virtual / F2F)

The Language and Cultural Center's book seminar series centers around diverse and accessible genres, topics, and cultures. This series will include 3 books over 3 months. For each book, we will meet two-times in either face-to-face and online. The format and focus of the series will align with culturally responsive teaching standards for speakers of other languages. A collection of resources will accompany each book. This series is grounded on the research-based sustaining practices of the power of storytelling and how common experiences deepen our commitment to sustainable practices. This session will address the needs of English learners. It will also address implementing evidence-based activities to meet the comprehensive needs of students.
