English Learners: Paraeducator Program (Virtual / F2F)
Multilingual paraEducators are often key communicators with multilingual students and families. These modules are specifically aimed at helping paraEducators learn about effective scaffolding and classroom support practices to assist ELs comprehend lessons and make gains in learning the class content while gaining proficiency in English. Participants will also learn how to foster relationships between school staff and parents and explore some of the challenges faced in the roles of support staff to students and teachers. This session will address the needs of English learners. It will also address implementing evidence-based activities to meet the comprehensive needs of students and Provide information and assistance to parents and families on how they can effectively support students.
