Family Engagement

Children perform better in school when their families are involved in their learning. How can you improve communication between home and school? How can you engage more families from diverse backgrounds and cultures? It is incumbent on schools to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with families and the greater community to ultimately assist each student in reaching his or her potential.

PRIORITIES
- Through this one-day training session Participants will:
  -Begin to develop a strengths-based lens with which to examine our family partnership work.
  -Participants will know how to introduce what it means to link family engagement to student learning and school improvement.
  -Participants will know how to repurpose a family engagement event to incorporate best-known practices.
  -Participants will understand how to evaluate their family engagement
-Address loss of learning
-Support recovery
