Growing Readers Through Our Virtues Home
Across a text set of engaging, authentic literature, students explore the significance of a virtue while also developing a specified set of fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, discussion and written response skills. English-Language Arts skills are introduced through interactive read alouds, practiced in teacher-led book clubs, and applied in parent-child book clubs. Class discussions across a set of five picture books fosters each student’s personal value for exercising a virtue. Book clubs with classmates and parents class further develops a commitment to practice the virtue.
