Instruction: Thinking Maps
This professional learning opportunity is designed for teachers and school leadership teams to use Thinking Maps as a common visual language for applying and improving thinking processes, communicating ideas and points of view, and assessing progress over time. Thinking Maps is a visual thinking tool that provides a systemic approach for all students to access content. By visualizing our thinking, we create concrete images of abstract thoughts. These patterns help all students reach higher levels of critical and creative thinking by utilizing consistent visual patterns linked directly to eight specific thought processes. Leave this workshop with the materials and resources you need to use Thinking Maps in your grade level or content area. Registration through MyQuickReg. This addresses the unique needs of low-income children or students, children with disabilities, English learners, racial and ethnic minorities.
