This training helps staff assess a child's actions and how their own actions affect the situation. The participants are given specific tools in order to respond to an escalating student in an appropriate way. They will learn disengagements and holds for situations that escalate instead of de-escalate. Participants will receive a card from the Crisis Prevention Institute to show they are certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI). NVCI Refreshers for schools that do not require the full training are also available.
