Evaluate current curriculum and materials that explore how to invite students to consider the important contributions and excellence of those whose existence has often been minimized or misrepresented in our texts. Incorporate resources that honor cultural diversity, race, identity and historical perspectives into Social Studies curriculum and instruction. Provide opportunities for students to engage in the study of power through the development of a lens of criticality and agency to combat oppression moving forward.
